XR0ZR Juan Fernandez Dxpedition later this year – XR0ZR IOTA SA-005 on the most-wanted list it’s ranked #35

XRØZR Juan Fernandez DXpedition will be on the air later this 2013. From the latest news, the Hams team say sometime between October 1 to November 30, 2013 – IOTA SA-005 - (XRØZR – CEØ on the most-wanted list  it’s ranked #35 !)

Un Team di Radioamatori, con il callsign XRØZR, sarà attivo dalle Isole di Juan Fernandez entro la fine del 2013.  Dalle ultime news circolanti le operazioni Dx sono previste, si dice per 12 giorni, entro il periodo dal 1 Ottobre al 30 Novembre prossimi.

Un grupo de Operadores Radio estará QRV como XRØZR desde la Isla Juan Fernández (Chile) a finales de este año 2013.

STØR - La prima DX-pedition in Sud Sudan ha terminato la sua missione. Un ottimo successo dei due team: complessivamente 121.286 QSO nel STØR Database – 27.994 Unique Callsigns – 176 DXCC – 40 CQ Zones –  ultimo QSO alle ore 07:01 del 10/08/2011 poi QRT  - Grazie a: DXFriends, Intrepi-DX, agli Sponsors ed ai teams, compreso l’operatore italiano IN3ZMR, Fabrizio (qui sotto la sua foto  selezionata dal sito web ufficiale)

OY/PA0VHA and Team DX-Pedition to Faroer Island from 22.05.2011 till 03.06.2011. IOTA EU-018, WLOTA 2216, IP62lc. – The next trip is to a small island the Faroer with the prefix OY. The Faroer is between the Shetlands and Iceland.  Hans PA0VHA, Steef PA2A and Wim PA2AM are qrv from 22-05- till 03-06-2011. all HF bands in CW and RTTY, also qrv on 6m and 4m and Wim PA2AM is also qrv via satelliet AO-51. – QSL via home call.

ICOM UK sponsor the G6PZ team: two IC-7700, IOTA 2008 The G6PZ Claimed score. No PA failure!

IC-7700 PA failure?  Sono stati letti, con disappunto perchè questo non fa mai piacere, diversi post (es. I5IHE, I1xx/Dae, VK5EME, DL7USA, LA5EKA, HBxxx, HByyy, F6EFM, NA5Q e KE4WY) che hanno parlato di  guasti allo stadio PA; Come si vedrà più sotto (*) Icom, certamente, sta cercando di capire direttamente sul campo! cosa “noi” siamo capaci di fare realmente con i loro apparati, in modo da ridurre al minimo i rischi e migliorare così i loro prodotti. Allo stato delle notizie non si può assolutamente dire che questo sia un problema reale, anche perchè solo Icom con i centri di assistenza potrà rilevare le cause e valutare il numero dei casi di guasto degli MRF150 o di altro,  in rapporto al numero totale di apparati già venduti globalmente. Sarebbe anche interessante, per tranquillizzare,  se Icom emanasse un bollettino informativo con le specifiche tecniche e le eventuali soluzioni per questo.

“Bene questo weekend c’è il contest RSGB IOTA e saremo visitati dalla Icom UK (Regno Unito). Vogliono vedere il loro prodotto in azione “sulla brace!” per così dire. Questa opportunità è un grande feed back per il loro prodotti, dopo tutto i 7700 sono definiti the “contest radio”……..”

August 4th, 2008 by M0CLW : IOTA Contest 2008 Result: (G6PZ Team) Multi-op Fixed Island: Claimed score: 8,867,718 points!…. etc…. Icom UK visited us to see the contest group in action and both the IC-7800 and one of the IC-7700s worked flawlessly.

ENG:They were read some of the posts (I5IHE, I1xx/Dae, VK5EME, DL7USA, LA5EKA, HBxxx, HBxyy, F6EFM, NA5Q e KE4WY) concerning PA-Unit failures, with regret as its never a good outcome when this happens, but Icom are (*) really trying to understand what “we” do to their rigs in the real world so as to minimise this and improve on their products. It is difficult to say the incidence of PA failures in the IC-7700 (as apercentage of units in global….service), only the Icom service centres can determine this via an exhaustive examination in the course of repair. I am confident that Icom will issue a service bulletin informations to correct it.Interesting (*): G6PZ, Paul wrothe at 25.07.2008 on the IC7700-yahoogroups:
“Well it’s the RSGB IOTA contest this weekend and we are going to be visited by Icom UK. They want to see their product in action at “the coal face” so to speak. This is great product feed back for them, after all the 7700is a “contest radio ” ……..”

SX5C Stroggylh Island DXpedition IOTA: EU-001 – Attività DX di Radioamatori greci con nominativo speciale SX5C

DX-pedition nell’Isola Strogili (IOTA: EU-001); Un gruppo di Radioamatori della Grecia (vedi più sotto) attivano sia l’isola Strongili che il Faro di Ipsili (L-1653) nel Mare Mediterraneo a circa cinque miglia-marine a sud-est dall’Isola di Kastellorizo (Grid square: KM56tc). Attività in radio dal 25 luglio al 4 agosto 2008, in tutte le bande da 160m a 2m e in tutti i modi di emissione (Voice, Digital, CW). QSL manager SV1HER, Sotirios, scambio cartoline  QSL  via Burò.

Una grande spedizione Antartica Russa, A large Russian Antartic Expedition, Callsign used will be R1ANT (Ham radio station)

La spedizione Antartica Russa è iniziata il 13 marzo scorso partendo dal Sud Africa a bordo della Academician Fedorov diretta verso l’Antartica. Sono previste visite a varie basi antartiche ed i radioamatori opereranno trasmissioni radio con il nominativo speciale R1ANT; La squadra comprende Valey, RW3GW che è il lider ed anche QSL manager della spedizione.

ENG: Russian Antartic Expedition did start last March 13th leavin from South Africa, on board of Academician Fedorov on a route to Antartica. Call sign used will be R1ANT for ham radio expedition for visiting more Antartic bases. QSL manager is Valey, RW3GW leading of activity
