Rohde & Schwarz M3SR® Series 4100 of HF radios represents a new, innovative and versatile generation of software defined radios (SDR).

ENG: The R&S® M3SR Series 4100 combines the unmatched dynamic range of radios with analog mixers with the latest in digital IF and audio signal processing. The second IF frequency of 48 kHz is sampled, digitized and processed using digital ignal processors. This means that a wide range of IF bandwidths is available in all modes with high selectivity and optimized for voice and data communications. Digital signal processing also provides functions for noise suppression. The individual radio lines can be occupied by any of the waveforms supported by the R&S®M3SR Series 4100 including:
Voice (SSB, AM, FM) - Radio teletype (RATT) - Modem (STANAG 4285, STANAG 4539) - Automatic link establishment (ALE-2G/3G) - Tactical data links(Link-11, Link-22)

ENG: The R&S® FK4120/FK4140 digitally tuned HF selectors are optional plug-in modules for the radios of the R&S®M3SR Series 4100. They increase the selectivity of the transmit and receive paths. Receiver parameters such as 2nd and 3rd order intercept, IF rejection, image-frequency rejection and crossmodulation immunity are significantly improved. In the transmit direction, the TX phase noise is suppressed to produce typical values as low as –165 dBc/Hz.
- Five-circuit lowpass filter (0 Hz to 1.5 MHz) for receive frequencies below 1.5 MHz
- Digitally tuned tracking bandpass filters (1.5 MHz to 30 MHz) with 20 dB or 40 dB edge steepness at 10 % frequency offset. (for Ham radio See the DIGI-SEL Icom or VRF+uTune Yesu + the ATU Units)

L’Icom IC7600 sarà presto in arrivo, probabile all’inizio della primavera 2009.

IC-7600 100w HF/6 all mode transceiver ; 4 pin DC 13.8v similar to IC 7000; 3 Roofing filters; Icom Dual Watch; Spectrum Scope features idem to IC-7700; RTTY and PSK 31 RX & TX built in; APF/TBF (Twin Bandpass filter for Digital); Variable TX Bandwidth; TX/RX Audio Controls; USB port for Memory stick or Keyboard; USB port for Rig control and audio baseband impu/output; 4 pin DC 13.8v similar to IC 7000. - The Icom IC7600 will be arriving coming spring 2009.

——-

ENG: First Glimpse of IC-7600 at Pescara (Italy) Hamfair 29.11.2008
Marcucci Spa, a major Italia Icom dealer, it has introduced the new IC-7600 at the Pescara Ham Fair, 29/30 Nov 2008. Early prototype samples of this new model were shown at the JARL Ham Fair 2008 held between August 23rd and 24th 2008 in Tokyo. - The Icom IC7600 will be arriving coming spring 2009.

IC-7600 Dual Watch, ( unlike the Icom IC-7700) is a receiver configuration in which the incoming RF bandwidth is presented via a power divider to two 1st mixers, each with its own LO. The IF outputs of these mixers are combined and demodulated, yielding a composite baseband (audio) channel. Dual Watch allows simultaneous monitoring in real time of two frequencies in the same or adjacent bands, and in the same mode. It is also fully functional in conjunction with split operation.

IARU Regione 1 HF, 10MHz Band Plan:
- 10.100 - 10.140 Max Bw 200Hz CW, QRP centre of activity 10.116MHz
- 10.140 - 10.150 Max Bw 500Hz Narrow band modes - digimodes
PSK31, OLIVIA 250/8, OLIVIA 500/16, OLIVIA, WSRP, MT-63 1KLONG, BPSK31, ALE400, RTTY,
WSPR QSO is slower compared to other digital modes like JT65B used for EME due to strong protocol used, but results could be better !
A full manual for WSPR has not yet been written, but a Quick Start Guide TXT format; See the Link .
Ther is also a network for the real time exchange of information on the propagation of Weak Signal with a group of amateur radio operators working QRP and QRPp that use the MEPT_JT “Manned Experimental Propagation Tests, by K1JT ) protocol implemented in WSPR . See the Links

Nella Tabelllina inserita qui sopra sull’immagine sono riportati  alcuni significativi dati, tratti dalle recensioni del IC-7700, IC-7800, FT-2000D e Elecraft K3, nella rivista QST della ARRL. Queste revisioni tecniche meritano di essere lette per intero sui vari numeri del QST Magazine per un confronto completo e sistematico di tutte le performance dei più recenti apparati : Icom - Yaesu - Elecraft - FlexRadio;

Link to: VA7OJ/AB4OJ’s, Adam IC-7600 Web page

ENG. IC-7600 is a 13.8V, 100W-class HF/50MHz transceiver, utlizing last Icom’s IF-DSP tecnology, Split feature with VFO/XFC or Dual-Watch capabily (unlike the IC-7700)
The receiver is very probably quite good enough for many people and it has a few popular features which are not yet available in the K3 or FT-2000, e.g. The built in spectrum scope (Span 5kHz to 500kHz on large multifunction Display TFT, identical to IC-7700/7800 M-S-T function), Dual Watch with IF Roofing Filters selectable, RTTY/PSK31 Encode/decode, APF/TBF (Twin Bandpass Filter for Digital), USB port on front panel(USB miny-drive/keyboard, TBD), Single USB port on rear (Rig Remote Control with C-IV standard and audio signals Rx-out/Tx-imput), Separate RX-OUT and RX-IN antenna ports allowing connection of external accessory, control for an external ATU. If the price is good, I expect is will sell well, just like the 756 Pro III it replaces. The speculation is that this rig will go into production in early 2009 and launched in May at Dayton HamVention.
