<p style="text-align: justify;">WiNRADiO © declares that the  new WR-G31DDC Excalibur receiver&#8217;s robust front-end (ndr: no preselectors filters!) is equipped with an ultrahigh-linearity amplifier which result in exceptional strong-signal performance. An advanced &#8220;dithering&#8221; technique eliminates spurios signals without significantly increasing the receiver&#8217;s nois floor. The superior 16-bit 100 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) provides exceptional performance over an extremely wide range of signals. Frequency range 9 kHz to 49.995 MHz three indipendent channels can be set separately.</p>

Excalibur sample at 100 MHz (MSPS), but what really happens tuning signals around the frequency of &#8220;<span style="color: #ff0000;">Nyquist</span>&#8221; (100 : 2 = 50MHz) &#8211; [Note]: The figures SFDR (Spurious-Free Dynamic Range) declared by the producer is still about 107 dB. <p style="text-align: justify;">The new GEMINI receiver features two RF inputs signals simultaneously sampled by the Gemini A/D converter are numerically processed at 200 MSPS/channel by a high speed multichannel digital down-converter implemented in a FPGA of <strong>Xilinx&#8217;s</strong> most recent Spartan6 family &#8211; Ultra Low Jitter Clock for the Highest Dynamic Range up to VHFs! <p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="more-2298"></span>La WiNRADIO © Sezione commerciale della <a href="http://www.radixon.com/index.html">RADIXON Group Pty. Ltd</a> (Australia), indica che il nuovo WR-G31DDC <strong>Excalibur</strong> ha robusti front-end (ndr: però non ha filtri di preselezione) per i ricevitori ed è dotato di un amplificatore ad altissima linearità che da luogo a ottime prestazioni anche su forti segnali. L&#8217;impiego di una tecnica avanzata di &#8220;dithering&#8221; viene utilizzata per eliminare i segnali spuri, senza aumentare significativamente il nois floor dei ricevitori (sensibilità MDS). &#8211; L&#8217;utilizzo di un Convertitore Analogico-Digitale (ADC) a 16-bit con 100 MSPS (Milioni di Campinamento Per Secondo) offre ottime prestazioni in una gamma di segnali molto ampia. La copertura di frequenza va da 9 kHz a 49.995 MHz e con tre indipendenti canali di ricezione simultanea settabili indipendentemente e rappresentati in grafica sulla GUI.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">E disponibile tutta la banda di 2 MHz in DDC (in conversione digitale diretta) sia per le operazioni di registrazione che per la sua demodulazione. &#8211; Sono disponibili tre demodulatori per consentire la ricezione simultanea di tre frequenze di segnale all&#8217;interno della larghezza di banda di 2 MHz (banda in uscita selezionabile in 21 steps di banda  con larghezza variabile da da 20 kHz a 2 MHz e sintonia fine con risoluzione di 1 Hz) -<br />
Excalibur <span style="color: #ff0000;">non</span> ha filtri di preselezione all&#8217;ingresso, dispone solo di (MW filter) un passa-alto per le onde medie. Per forti segnali interferenti si dovrebbe introdurre attenuazione, riducendo anche la sensibilità del ricevitore. &#8211; Excalibur campiona a 100 MHz (MSPS), ma realmente cosa avviene sintonizzando segnali attorno alla frequenza di &#8220;Nyquist&#8221; (metà della frequenza di campionamento = 50 MHz) quando tutti i segnali al di sopra di essa si ribaltano simmetricamente sulle frequenze inferiori!? &#8211; [Nota]: Il valore di SFDR (Spurious-Free Dinamic Range) dichiarato dal produttore risulta comunque di 107 dB. L&#8217;Image rejection dichiarata è di 90 dB typ, con un MDS (Minimo Segnale Discernibile) di -130 dBm @ 10 MHz e 500 Hz di BW.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Il software di Excalibur sembrerebbe ancora molto convenzionale nel settore Signal Processing. Allo stato non figurano notch adattivi, non filtri CW peak, si nota un solo noise blanker (contro i tre di Perseus) anche se può ricevere su tre canali in contemporanea e decodifiche il DRM ed altri modi digitali da integrare, come opzional a pagamento, direttamente nel software di controllo.</p>

Nuovo prodotto della Italiana © <a href="http://www.microtelecom.it/gemini/gemini.htm">Microtelecom Srl</a> (by Nico IV3NWV ), dotato di ricevitore a doppio canale indipendente, in unico contenitore (210 x 80 x 190 mm) sempre a  conversione diretta come il Perseus, che non intende sostituire, infatti il suo range operativo va da 28 a 170 MHz. Ciascono dei due front-end RF sono filtrati da due preselettorei analogici in 6 banchi di frequenza. I segnali in ingresso sono simultaneamente processati numericamente con ADC a 200 MSPS/channel (200 Miliodi di Campionamenti Per Secondo!) I segnali ottenuti dalla conversione diretta ad alta velocita sono implementati con una FPGA di Xilinx&#8217;s della recentissima famiglia Spartan6. Ha un Generatore di clock con basso valore di Jitter (vedere più sopra l&#8217;immagine dei parametri Low-Jitter) per una Alta Gamma Dinamica fino alle VHF (compreso il relativo  valore dell&#8217;SFDR &#8211; Spurious-Free Dinamic Range)</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Ricevitore per il monitoraggio delle bande HF e VHF, per rilevare la direzione dei segnali, ricevre segnali in diversità, per attività EME oppure per uso satellitare in doppia polarizzazione per sistemi di ricezione a canali sincroni, per array di fase, ad azzeramento del rumore. Attendiamo le prove!!</p>

The device is equipped with the DSP technology, uses the latest generation of high performance DSP manufactured by Analog Devices Inc. (<strong>ADSP</strong>-21262 serie) -  Similar products are available on the market as Software Defined Radios (SDR), but all those use the ressources of a PC  extensively. In contrast, the ADAT transceiver ADT-200A allows stand-alone operation. The ADT-200A has a front end, along with four parallel receivers and can be enhanced with a VHF/UHF module as an option. Eight independent VFO’s provide many split band operations.</p>

L&#8217;ADT-200, nella sua classe, innalza il punto delle performance generali ed è paragonabile a quelle del SDR Perseus (escludendo quanto Perseus invece consente con il PC esterno!)  ADT-200A è un ricetrasmettitore per radio amatori con l&#8217;elaborazione del segnale completamente in digitale (SDR)<br />
Il Transceiver utilizza appieno anche la tecnologia DSP e ADAT dichiara che monta l&#8217;ultima generazione di DSP ad alte prestazioni prodotta dalla Analog Devices Inc. (<strong>ADSP</strong>-21262 serie)<br />
Apparati simili sono disponibili sul mercato indicati come Software Defined Radio (SDR), ma tutti impiegano ampiamente il software di un PC esterno. Al contrario, il ricetrasmettitore ADAT ADT-200A permette di funzionare in modo stand-alone (modo autonomo senza PC).<br />
L&#8217;ADT-200A ha un front-end con quattro ricevitori paralleli e può essere implementato con moduli VHF/UHF come opzione. Ha ben otto VFO indipendenti che consentono operazioni di multi band split. (&#8230;NB: <em>vedere altri dati e performance sul sito web ufficiale della ADTA Ch</em>)<br />
Lo stadio PA è dotato di MOS-FET ad alto voltaggio ed è in grado di produrre 50W, all&#8217;interno delle bande da 1.8MHz a 30MHz. Anche la parte TX è  tutta su base digitale (SDR), HB9CBU ha impiegato  il sistema  definto &#8220;Adaptive predistortion&#8221; che fornisce poi un segnale di trasmissione finale con distorsione molto bassa (IMD3&#8230;9  -45dBc two-tone modulation, 50W PEP)</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">No Spectrum analysis? &#8211; Per ora non ha disponibile la funzione di analisi di spettro, che sarà invece disponibile solo con una prossima versione del Software. Lo spettro dovrebbe essere visualizzato con la risoluzione disponibile sul Display del ricetrasmettitore. Invece l&#8217;alta risoluzione potrà  essere ottenuta collegando il ricetrasmettitore tramite la porta USB ad un Personal Computer.  Sono già  annunciati una serie di sviluppi ulteriori!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">(*) The traditional 2-Tone measurement procedure is not applicable at AD converters as the IP3 of an AD converter decreases proportional with the input signal. An other fact is, that the intermodulation is considerably lower at real operation with many stochastic signals due to the &#8220;Dithering Effect&#8221; then as with only two tones.<br />
(*) Das 2-Ton IM-Messverfahren ist nur beschränkt anwendbar. Der IP3 des AD-Wandlers nimmt proportional mit dem Eingangssignal ab. Die Intermodulationsprodukte sind im praktischen Betrieb an einer Antenne durch den &#8220;Dithering-Effekt&#8221; deutlich tiefer als bei der reinen 2-Ton-Messung.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Amateurs will eventually migrate to digital for VHF/UHF repeaters.  Will D-STAR be forever? Probably not, but it is the leading solution right now.  The move to digital only makes sense, its more spectrum efficient and you can offer a lot more services on a &#8216;channel&#8217; than you can with analog.  I imagine that at some point, not soon, the ratio of digital VHF/UHF operations to analog FM will be similar to the ratio of SSB to AM transmissions on HF!!<br />

Una prima applicazione D-STAR non Icom  è disponibile al pubblico con connessione sul network di rete (D-Plus)! Hot Spot unito al Node Adapter consente di simulare una radio D-STAR pur con le limitazioni del caso, cioè la non portatilità come si addice ad un vero veicolare o la flessibilità di un apparato palmare (portatilino!) Certamente si tratta di un intelligente sforzo per tentare di superare, in qualche modo, l&#8217;attuale &#8220;monopolio&#8221; del  produttore di apparati D-STAR commerciali.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Si può prevedere una migrazione dei radioamatori sul digitale per i ripetitori VHF/UHF. Come dire D-STAR si è per sempre? Probabilmente no, ma il DV sembra essere la soluzione leader in questo momento. Il passaggio al digitale ha solo un motivo, un uso più efficiente dello spettro essendo in grado di offrire molti più servizi sullo stesso &#8220;canale&#8221; rispetto a quello che si può ottenere con l&#8217;analogico. Immagino che a un certo punto, non immediato, il rapporto trà le operazioni in digitale VHF/UHF e quelle analogiche in FM sarà simile al rapporto in HF tra le trasmissioni in SSB rispetto all&#8217;impiego dell&#8217;AM!!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Sviluppi ed applicazioni per il sistema D-STAR in base alle ricerche ed alle realizzazioni Home-Made di vari radioamatori.<br />
Il D-Star usa ripetitori che sono collegati via Internet. Il circuito GSMK<strong> Node Adapter</strong> viene collegato via USB al proprio Computer collegato ad internet ed attraverso il software Hot Spot  si accede ad un GateWay dei tanti Ripetitori D-Star che utilizzano il software D-Plus. I pacchetti digitali che transitano sul Ripetitore vengono elaborati da Hot Spot e inviati alla scheda Node Adapter che riporta i segnali alla giusta codifica D-STAR e con una apposito cavo collegato alla porta dati a 9600 bps (connettore MINI DIN6) di un normale RTX analogico consente la ritrasmissione del codice digitale. A questo punto utilizzando una normale radio D-Star (come l&#8217;IC-E80D, l&#8217;IC-E91 o altri D-STAR simili) si è in grado di ricevere via radio ed ascoltare le trasmissioni che transitano sullo stesso Ripetitore D-STAR scelto. I pacchetti digitali, quindi, pervengono via internet, il Computer li elabora scambiando i dati con la scheda Node Adapter che invia il segnale codificato al RTX analogico tramite la sua porta dati a 9600 bps, poi con il controllo del PTT e del COS permette di ritrasmettere il segnale DV su un altro canale simplex per collegamenti locali . Segnali digitali ricevibili però dai soli apparati D-STAR. Questi in senso opposto possono anche trasmettere in DV utilizzando lo stesso Nodo e rete internet fino al GateWay del Ripetitore remoto connesso.</p>

Nell&#8217;IC-7700 il modulatore e demodulatore Boudot RTTY e PSK31 (Ecoder/ Decoder basati sul DSP) sono entrocontenuti, ed è capace di operare in RTTY e PSK31 con il collegamento diretto di una Tastiera (alla porta USB) senza la necessità di utilizzare un Computer esterno.<br />
Collegando, invece, ad un Personal Compuer con tastiera, le operazioni in RTTY e in PSK31 ed altri modi digitali possono essere anche eseguite con  un apposito  software esterno,  installato nel Computer. PropNET PSK analizza e registra in HF e VHF la qualità della popagazione in tempo reale con report e displays via internet dei segnali PSK . Lo scopo principale del progetto PropNET è sviluppare un sistema avvanzato  dedicato al Servizio Automatico di Controllo nell&#8217;area Digitale. PropNET ha un codice PHG che è in realtà una stringa PHGDRA/code (include nell&#8217;ordine: Potenza, Altezza, Gain, Directivity, Rate, Altezza).<br />
In pratica, PropNET opera in modo molto simile ad APRS (http://www.aprs.net).  Come l&#8217;APRS le stazioni PropNET formano una rete per la condivisione delle informazioni, proprio come in una tavola rotonda in SSB. Ciò significa che le norme che disciplinano PropNET possono essenzialmente  essere le stesse di quelle che disciplinano l&#8217;APRS nei vari paesi.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Rohde &amp; Schwarz ha sviluppato una serie di apparati di nuova generazione per i sistemi di comunicazione professionali, tipiche applicazioni a bordo ni navi, per il controllo di traffico aereo, per ambasciate e per applicazioni tattiche militari. Da quanto si legge nella broshure la struttura della R&amp;S® M3SR Series 4100, pur definita a ragione SDR, sembra andare ancora sul sicuro. Niente RF Sampling (ADC/FPGA), ma impiego combinato della collaudata tecnologia RF analogica (Analog Mixers), dove R&amp;S® è eccellente da sempre, seguita  da una seconfa IF a 48 kHz che viene campionata, digitalizzata e processata con l&#8217;impiego dei recenti sistemi DSP numerici implementati R&amp;S® all&#8217;interno del&#8217;apparato.  (<span style="color: #ff0000;">Per esempio </span>si potrebbe dire una struttura a due conversioni + IF DSP simile a quella del&#8217; IC-7700 reiterata da Icom anche sul nuovo IC-7600! in arrivo<em>)<br />

ENG:</strong> <em>The R&amp;S® M3SR Series 4100 combines the unmatched dynamic range of radios with analog mixers with the latest in digital IF and audio signal processing. The second IF frequency of 48 kHz is sampled, digitized and processed using digital ignal processors. This means that a wide range of IF bandwidths is available in all modes with high selectivity and optimized for voice and data communications. Digital signal processing also provides functions for noise suppression. The individual radio lines can be occupied by any of the waveforms supported by the R&amp;S®M3SR Series 4100   <span style="color: #ff0000;">including</span>:<br />

Questo per accrescere la selettività dei canali sia in trasmissione che in ricezione. Si migliorano molto i parametri di IMD di 2nd e 3rd ordine, la rejezione di IF e di immagine, l&#8217;immunità alla modulazione incrociata. Nella diretzione TX il rumore di fase viene soppresso con un basso valore tipico migliore di -165 dBc/Hz !   (<span style="color: #ff0000;">Per esempio</span>, negli RTX per Radioamatori, si può trovare il DIGI-SEL  Unit, Icom o il VRF+ uTune, Yaesu che combinati con gli ATU Unit, possono avere funzioni e performance abbastanza simili! )</p>

They increase the selectivity of the transmit and receive paths. Receiver parameters such as 2nd and 3rd order intercept, IF rejection, image-frequency rejection and crossmodulation immunity are significantly improved. In the transmit direction, the TX phase noise is suppressed to produce typical values as low as –165 dBc/Hz.<br />

<p>Il DWR16 della Roke Uk (divisione della Siemens) è un  Ricevitore SDR a conversione diretta (16 bit), down conversion implementata in FPGA • Da collegare  con USB2 al PC o Laptop • Interfaccia GUI e API sotto Windows® • Non ha la variazione continua dei filtri DSP però  dispone di • 74 BW in steps da 56Hz a 32kHz selezionabili in modo diverso per ciascun canale. Il DRW16 è dotato di • Attenuatore automatico o manuale (0dB to -31dB in 1dB steps) • Controllo dell&#8217;AGC in automatico (fast medium slow) oppure in manuale con steps di 6dB, valori diversi impostabile per ciscun canale • Frequency Counter dedicato alla sintonia, si attiva anche di volta in volta per ciscun canale monitorato cliccando su una della 4 barre dati dei canali (distinte da 4 colori) che indicano per ciscuno: • Frequenza • Bandwidth • Mode • BFO • AGC • Gain • Level S-meter • ALC • Wav.</p>

<p><strong>ENG:</strong> <em>DRW16 employs A/D conversion to directly digitise the entire HF spectrum, Down conversion FPGA, USB2 interface to a PC or laptop  for furter IF filtering, signal demodulation, spectrum display 4 indipendent receiver channels and full HF spectrum. The DWR16 is supplied with a Windows®-based application providing a user-interface for receiver control and signal processing of the received signals.<br />
The interface displays and controls the following functions: • Attenuator: automatic or manual mode (0dB to -31dB in 1dB steps) • Signal level &#8211; • Centre frequency: 0 to 40MHz with 1Hz resolution) • Bandwidth: (32kHz to 56Hz with 74 bandwidths) • Demodulation (I/Q, AM, USB, LSB, ISB, CW, FM) • Gain control: automatic (fast medium slow) and manual (6dB steps) • Signal level • Audio output level control: automatic or fixed (2 settings) • Audio output • Recording: I/Q or demodulated signal in .wav format • GUI showing: Simultaneous monitoring and display of four narrowband HF channels and full HF spectrum • Four independent receiver channels tune over entire HF band. Su questa pagina potete ascoltare e controllare un ricevitore per onde corte (HF 80 40 e 20m) situato nell&#8217;Amateur Radio Club ETGD &#8211; PI4THT, presso l&#8217;Università di Twente, Paesi Bassi &#8211; Facoltà di Ingegneria Elettrica, di Matematica e Informatica. Contrariamente ad altri ricevitori controllati via web, questo ricevitore può essere sintonizzato ed ascoltato da parte di <strong>più utenti</strong> contemporaneamente, grazie all&#8217;utilizzo del Software-Defined Radio e un interfaccia lì progettata!<br />
Si possono usare i vari comandi per sintonizzare, cambiare la Banda Passante del DSP, cambiare il modo e vedere l&#8217;intensità del segnale in dBm. Nel riquadro sotto vengono indicate le sigle (con scritte colorate) di chi ha fatto il log-in e le frequenze che utilizzano in tempo reale. <span style="color: #ff0000;">No abuse</span>, please!! </p>

In contrast to other web-controlled receivers, this receiver can be tuned by <strong>multiple users</strong> simultaneously, thanks to the use of Software-Defined Radio with special interface ! </em></p>
