IC-9100 Features and comments: Each main and sub-receiver has a dedicated DSP unit. The radio has two independent receivers in one radio and receives two different bands simultaneously. Roofing filter 6kHz FL-430 Unit and 3kHz FL-431 Unit are Optional. The band scope (no real-time) is a let down, the RX does not work when this is in operation; During the scan interval, the audio output is muted because the audio recovered from the sweep operation would be meaningless and disturbing.
According to the manual, there’s no way to upgrade the firmware; This could partially explain the long delay in product release. They had to get it right the first time!
First positive comments by Frank VK5KV:
Filter capabilities very good with similar operation to the IC-7600 with bandwidth and shaping etc.The Squelch/RF control can operate independently (squelch or RF gain or combined). NR control, Pre amps and AGC functions all excellent in noisy conditions. The SWR measuring Plot is a great feature for having a quick look at the antenna and doing comparisons, selectable in 10,50,100,or 500khz steps.

Rohde & Schwarz M3SR® Series 4100 of HF radios represents a new, innovative and versatile generation of software defined radios (SDR).
ENG: The R&S® M3SR Series 4100 combines the unmatched dynamic range of radios with analog mixers with the latest in digital IF and audio signal processing. The second IF frequency of 48 kHz is sampled, digitized and processed using digital ignal processors. This means that a wide range of IF bandwidths is available in all modes with high selectivity and optimized for voice and data communications. Digital signal processing also provides functions for noise suppression. The individual radio lines can be occupied by any of the waveforms supported by the R&S®M3SR Series 4100 including:
Voice (SSB, AM, FM) – Radio teletype (RATT) – Modem (STANAG 4285, STANAG 4539) – Automatic link establishment (ALE-2G/3G) – Tactical data links(Link-11, Link-22)

ENG: The R&S® FK4120/FK4140 digitally tuned HF selectors are optional plug-in modules for the radios of the R&S®M3SR Series 4100. They increase the selectivity of the transmit and receive paths. Receiver parameters such as 2nd and 3rd order intercept, IF rejection, image-frequency rejection and crossmodulation immunity are significantly improved. In the transmit direction, the TX phase noise is suppressed to produce typical values as low as –165 dBc/Hz.
- Five-circuit lowpass filter (0 Hz to 1.5 MHz) for receive frequencies below 1.5 MHz
- Digitally tuned tracking bandpass filters (1.5 MHz to 30 MHz) with 20 dB or 40 dB edge steepness at 10 % frequency offset. – (for Ham radio See the DIGI-SEL Icom or VRF+uTune Yesu + the ATU Units)

FLEX-3000 is new FlexRadio mid-range 100W tramsceiver, delivery in January 2009 .
Prezzo (Usa) introduttivo di $ 1.499,00 (List 1.599,00) The FLEX-3000 is on sale *now* and is scheduled for delivery in January 2009.

ENG: SWITCH BOX by Elad, is a automatic T/R switch senses transmitted RF (100W max) and switches your
antenna from SDR receive (PERSEUS) to transmit using a relay. It shorts your receiver antenna input to ground to protect your SDR (Official distribution by WoodBoxRadio, IK3VIG, Beppe). Instead of using RF sense to switch the antenna, a control line input lets your key/keyer or PTT line switch the antenna. A complete switch control is available for the audio path of receiver and transceiver. Using CAT of your RTX, with third parts software which provide a SYNC function between RTX and your Peseus SDR, you can make an outstanding and high performance transceiving operations. Protection: The SWITCH BOX provides gas discharge protection on the antenna input.
