<p style="text-align: justify;">WiNRADiO © declares that the  new WR-G31DDC Excalibur receiver&#8217;s robust front-end (ndr: no preselectors filters!) is equipped with an ultrahigh-linearity amplifier which result in exceptional strong-signal performance. An advanced &#8220;dithering&#8221; technique eliminates spurios signals without significantly increasing the receiver&#8217;s nois floor. The superior 16-bit 100 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) provides exceptional performance over an extremely wide range of signals. Frequency range 9 kHz to 49.995 MHz three indipendent channels can be set separately.</p>

Excalibur sample at 100 MHz (MSPS), but what really happens tuning signals around the frequency of &#8220;<span style="color: #ff0000;">Nyquist</span>&#8221; (100 : 2 = 50MHz) &#8211; [Note]: The figures SFDR (Spurious-Free Dynamic Range) declared by the producer is still about 107 dB. <p style="text-align: justify;">The new GEMINI receiver features two RF inputs signals simultaneously sampled by the Gemini A/D converter are numerically processed at 200 MSPS/channel by a high speed multichannel digital down-converter implemented in a FPGA of <strong>Xilinx&#8217;s</strong> most recent Spartan6 family &#8211; Ultra Low Jitter Clock for the Highest Dynamic Range up to VHFs! <p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="more-2298"></span>La WiNRADIO © Sezione commerciale della <a href="http://www.radixon.com/index.html">RADIXON Group Pty. Ltd</a> (Australia), indica che il nuovo WR-G31DDC <strong>Excalibur</strong> ha robusti front-end (ndr: però non ha filtri di preselezione) per i ricevitori ed è dotato di un amplificatore ad altissima linearità che da luogo a ottime prestazioni anche su forti segnali. L&#8217;impiego di una tecnica avanzata di &#8220;dithering&#8221; viene utilizzata per eliminare i segnali spuri, senza aumentare significativamente il nois floor dei ricevitori (sensibilità MDS). &#8211; L&#8217;utilizzo di un Convertitore Analogico-Digitale (ADC) a 16-bit con 100 MSPS (Milioni di Campinamento Per Secondo) offre ottime prestazioni in una gamma di segnali molto ampia. La copertura di frequenza va da 9 kHz a 49.995 MHz e con tre indipendenti canali di ricezione simultanea settabili indipendentemente e rappresentati in grafica sulla GUI.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">E disponibile tutta la banda di 2 MHz in DDC (in conversione digitale diretta) sia per le operazioni di registrazione che per la sua demodulazione. &#8211; Sono disponibili tre demodulatori per consentire la ricezione simultanea di tre frequenze di segnale all&#8217;interno della larghezza di banda di 2 MHz (banda in uscita selezionabile in 21 steps di banda  con larghezza variabile da da 20 kHz a 2 MHz e sintonia fine con risoluzione di 1 Hz) -<br />
Excalibur <span style="color: #ff0000;">non</span> ha filtri di preselezione all&#8217;ingresso, dispone solo di (MW filter) un passa-alto per le onde medie. Per forti segnali interferenti si dovrebbe introdurre attenuazione, riducendo anche la sensibilità del ricevitore. &#8211; Excalibur campiona a 100 MHz (MSPS), ma realmente cosa avviene sintonizzando segnali attorno alla frequenza di &#8220;Nyquist&#8221; (metà della frequenza di campionamento = 50 MHz) quando tutti i segnali al di sopra di essa si ribaltano simmetricamente sulle frequenze inferiori!? &#8211; [Nota]: Il valore di SFDR (Spurious-Free Dinamic Range) dichiarato dal produttore risulta comunque di 107 dB. L&#8217;Image rejection dichiarata è di 90 dB typ, con un MDS (Minimo Segnale Discernibile) di -130 dBm @ 10 MHz e 500 Hz di BW.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Il software di Excalibur sembrerebbe ancora molto convenzionale nel settore Signal Processing. Allo stato non figurano notch adattivi, non filtri CW peak, si nota un solo noise blanker (contro i tre di Perseus) anche se può ricevere su tre canali in contemporanea e decodifiche il DRM ed altri modi digitali da integrare, come opzional a pagamento, direttamente nel software di controllo.</p>

Nuovo prodotto della Italiana © <a href="http://www.microtelecom.it/gemini/gemini.htm">Microtelecom Srl</a> (by Nico IV3NWV ), dotato di ricevitore a doppio canale indipendente, in unico contenitore (210 x 80 x 190 mm) sempre a  conversione diretta come il Perseus, che non intende sostituire, infatti il suo range operativo va da 28 a 170 MHz. Ciascono dei due front-end RF sono filtrati da due preselettorei analogici in 6 banchi di frequenza. I segnali in ingresso sono simultaneamente processati numericamente con ADC a 200 MSPS/channel (200 Miliodi di Campionamenti Per Secondo!) I segnali ottenuti dalla conversione diretta ad alta velocita sono implementati con una FPGA di Xilinx&#8217;s della recentissima famiglia Spartan6. Ha un Generatore di clock con basso valore di Jitter (vedere più sopra l&#8217;immagine dei parametri Low-Jitter) per una Alta Gamma Dinamica fino alle VHF (compreso il relativo  valore dell&#8217;SFDR &#8211; Spurious-Free Dinamic Range)</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Ricevitore per il monitoraggio delle bande HF e VHF, per rilevare la direzione dei segnali, ricevre segnali in diversità, per attività EME oppure per uso satellitare in doppia polarizzazione per sistemi di ricezione a canali sincroni, per array di fase, ad azzeramento del rumore. Attendiamo le prove!!</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Rohde &amp; Schwarz M3SR® Series 4100 of HF radios represents a new, innovative and versatile generation of software defined radios (SDR).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Rohde &amp; Schwarz ha sviluppato una serie di apparati di nuova generazione per i sistemi di comunicazione professionali, tipiche applicazioni a bordo ni navi, per il controllo di traffico aereo, per ambasciate e per applicazioni tattiche militari. Da quanto si legge nella broshure la struttura della R&amp;S® M3SR Series 4100, pur definita a ragione SDR, sembra andare ancora sul sicuro. Niente RF Sampling (ADC/FPGA), ma impiego combinato della collaudata tecnologia RF analogica (Analog Mixers), dove R&amp;S® è eccellente da sempre, seguita  da una seconfa IF a 48 kHz che viene campionata, digitalizzata e processata con l&#8217;impiego dei recenti sistemi DSP numerici implementati R&amp;S® all&#8217;interno del&#8217;apparato.  (<span style="color: #ff0000;">Per esempio </span>si potrebbe dire una struttura a due conversioni + IF DSP simile a quella del&#8217; IC-7700 reiterata da Icom anche sul nuovo IC-7600! in arrivo<em>)<br />

ENG:</strong> <em>The R&amp;S® M3SR Series 4100 combines the unmatched dynamic range of radios with analog mixers with the latest in digital IF and audio signal processing. The second IF frequency of 48 kHz is sampled, digitized and processed using digital ignal processors. This means that a wide range of IF bandwidths is available in all modes with high selectivity and optimized for voice and data communications. Digital signal processing also provides functions for noise suppression. The individual radio lines can be occupied by any of the waveforms supported by the R&amp;S®M3SR Series 4100   <span style="color: #ff0000;">including</span>:<br />

Questo per accrescere la selettività dei canali sia in trasmissione che in ricezione. Si migliorano molto i parametri di IMD di 2nd e 3rd ordine, la rejezione di IF e di immagine, l&#8217;immunità alla modulazione incrociata. Nella diretzione TX il rumore di fase viene soppresso con un basso valore tipico migliore di -165 dBc/Hz !   (<span style="color: #ff0000;">Per esempio</span>, negli RTX per Radioamatori, si può trovare il DIGI-SEL  Unit, Icom o il VRF+ uTune, Yaesu che combinati con gli ATU Unit, possono avere funzioni e performance abbastanza simili! )</p>

<p><strong>ENG:</strong> <em>The R&amp;S® FK4120/FK4140 digitally tuned HF selectors are optional plug-in modules for the radios of the R&amp;S®M3SR Series 4100. They increase the selectivity of the transmit and receive paths. Receiver parameters such as 2nd and 3rd order intercept, IF rejection, image-frequency rejection and crossmodulation immunity are significantly improved. In the transmit direction, the TX phase noise is suppressed to produce typical values as low as –165 dBc/Hz.<br />

Il DRW16 è dotato di • Attenuatore automatico o manuale (0dB to -31dB in 1dB steps) • Controllo dell&#8217;AGC in automatico (fast medium slow) oppure in manuale con steps di 6dB, valori diversi impostabile per ciscun canale • Frequency Counter dedicato alla sintonia, si attiva anche di volta in volta per ciscun canale monitorato cliccando su una della 4 barre dati dei canali (distinte da 4 colori) che indicano per ciscuno: • Frequenza • Bandwidth • Mode • BFO • AGC • Gain • Level S-meter • ALC • Wav.</p>

Su questa pagina potete ascoltare e controllare un ricevitore per onde corte (HF 80 40 e 20m) situato nell&#8217;Amateur Radio Club ETGD &#8211; PI4THT, presso l&#8217;Università di Twente, Paesi Bassi &#8211; Facoltà di Ingegneria Elettrica, di Matematica e Informatica. Contrariamente ad altri ricevitori controllati via web, questo ricevitore può essere sintonizzato ed ascoltato da parte di <strong>più utenti</strong> contemporaneamente, grazie all&#8217;utilizzo del Software-Defined Radio e un interfaccia lì progettata!<br />
Si possono usare i vari comandi per sintonizzare, cambiare la Banda Passante del DSP, cambiare il modo e vedere l&#8217;intensità del segnale in dBm. Nel riquadro sotto vengono indicate le sigle (con scritte colorate) di chi ha fatto il log-in e le frequenze che utilizzano in tempo reale. <span style="color: #ff0000;">No abuse</span>, please!! </p>

<strong>FLEX-3000</strong> is new FlexRadio mid-range 100W tramsceiver, <span style="color: #ff0000;">delivery</span> in January 2009 .  Il FLEX-3000 è una &#8220;diretta decedent&#8221; del FLEX-5000 ™, un transeiver SDR (Software Defined Radio) per uso amatoriale di prima classe per performance.<br />
Il FLEX-3000 utilizza Filtri di Banda individuali ottimizzati per coprire sia le bande dei radioamatori (filtri di 5°ordine ottimizzati per ciscuna Banda, fatta eccezione per 160m che ha un filtro di 7° ordine) e di un LPF per la copertura generale. The FLEX-3000 è già dotato di un unità di antenna tuning (ATU), tutte le funzioni dell&#8217;ATU sono controllate automaticamente dal programma FlexRadio PowerSDR, oltre ad avere il controllo manuale. Il ricevitore usa un convertitore A/D con velocità di campionamento a 48 o a 96 KHz. FLEX-3000 utilizza lo stesso PA realizzato come quello montato nel FLEX-5000, quindi non è stato sviluppato un nuovo amplificatore di potenza da 100W, ma un collaudato progetto già ben provato. Se necessario, la radio è in grado di esergure, manualmente, un auto-test di controllo o di calibrazione.<br />
FLEX-3000, come in tutte le versioni del FLEX-5000, viene fornito con software FlexRadio PowerSDR V.1.x, che controlla tutti i comandi DSP, la modulazione, la demodulazione, il filtraggio e tutte le funzioni di controllo per la radio, oltre a gestire l&#8217;analizzatore di spettro (Panadapter display) di classe da laboratorio di misura. <p><strong>ENG:</strong> <em>The FLEX-3000 is a &#8220;direct decedent&#8221; of the FLEX-5000™, the full-featured, world class software defined radio transceiver for amateur use. The FLEX-3000 utilizes individually optimized bandpass filters to cover both the ham bands (Optimized 5th order bandpass filters for each ham band except for 160m which has a 7th order filter) and general coverage reception (low pass filter).The FLEX-3000 comes with an antenna tuning unit (ATU) as a standard feature, all ATU functions are automatically controlled using FlexRadio PowerSDR, as well as having manual control. Switch BOX della Elad: è una unità di commutazione dei collegamenti d&#8217;antenna tra un RTX ed un ricevitore SDR separati. Distribuita da <a href="http://www.cqdx.it/woodbox/wbr-home-ita.html">WoodBoxRadio </a>di IK3VIG, Beppe, è dotata di sensore di RF trasmessa (100W max)  che permette l&#8217;uso di un Ricevitore SDR come il PERSEUS, unitamente ad un qualsiasi Transceiver HF in modo automatico tramite un relay interno, che mette a massa l&#8217;antenna RX durante la trasmissione.  L&#8217;unità Switch BOX, consente di gestisce anche i segnali audio provenienti dal ricevitore o dal monitor del trasmettitore, permettendo un rapido ed agevole confronto di ascolto tra i due segnali così ricevuti. Usando la CAT dell&#8217;RTX, con una partizione di software sul PC per la funzione di sincronismo trà l&#8217;RTX e il Perseus, si ottiene un nuovo e performante transceiver.  Protezione: Switch BOX è dotato di uno scaricatore a gas che si inserisce sull&#8217; imput di antenna.</p>

antenna from SDR receive (PERSEUS)  to transmit using a relay. It shorts your receiver antenna input to ground to protect your SDR (Official distribution by <a href="http://www.cqdx.it/woodbox/wbr-home.html">WoodBoxRadio</a>, IK3VIG, Beppe). Instead of using RF sense to switch the antenna, a control line input lets your key/keyer or PTT line switch the antenna. A complete switch control is available for the audio path of receiver and transceiver. Using CAT of your RTX, with third parts software which provide a SYNC function between RTX and your Peseus SDR, you can make an outstanding and high performance transceiving operations. Protection: The SWITCH BOX provides gas discharge protection on the antenna input.<br />

La sintonia del <strong>Perseus </strong>sincronizzata con altri Transceivers muniti di <strong>CAT</strong> è ora possibile; Infatti l&#8217;interfaccia di Perseus con altri RTX, è consentita dall&#8217;ultima versione del suo software che, con CAT system, CI-V e Virtual Port, con la sincronizzazione di Ham Radio Deluxe internamente al Computer, permette di mettere inpasso le sintonie di PERSEUS e di alri RTX supportati dal noto software di Simon: <strong>HRD</strong>.</div>
<p><strong>Switch BOX</strong>: la prossima disponibilità dell&#8217;unità di commutazione esterna del collegamento d&#8217;antenna tra il ricevitore SDR ed un RTX separato renderà possibile usare Perseus in modo atuomatico e trasmettere con il proprio RTX analogico e ricevere con il digitale, usufruendo di tutte le relative funzioni di filtraggio e di visione panoramica dello spettro. La sintonia sincronizzata di entrambi gli apparati, come sopra, potrà essere comandata sia con la &#8220;manopola&#8221; del Main Tuning del Transceiver sia dal software del Perseus.<br />

Larry, N8LP ha realizzato questo nuovo Rx a conversione diretta, interfaccia che preleva il segnale RF dalla 1st IF del Transceiver <strong>K3</strong> per inviarlo in I/Q alla Saund Card del PC, che con uno dei Software SDR consentirà di vedere sul monitor una fetta di frequenza di circa 192kHz (IF a 8.215MHz, prelievo dopo il Roofing filter!) con la possibilità di misure e decodifiche degli apparati SDR. <p style="text-align: justify;">C&#8217;è stato un primo interesse, suscitato dalla FlexRadio System USA con il Flex-5000A, che è un Transceiver (<strong>rtx</strong> 100W) con architettura SDR (la stessa del vecchio SDR1000) cioè con l&#8217;ADC preceduto da un QSD che in quadratura converte i segnali RF a 9kHz (variabile fino a 20) da cui risultano poi i due segnali I/Q per il convertitore A/D a 24bit da avviace al Computer, però questa volta senza usare l&#8217;imput della Sand-Card;</p>
<p>Da fine 2007 è arrivato un nuovo prodotto tutto italiano: Microtelecom Srl di Udine, ha lanciato ilsuo <strong>Perseus</strong> un eccellente Ricevitore SDR di nuova generazione, a campionamento diretto a 80MS/s, interfaccia USB 2.0, valore i IP3 imput a +30dBm. Il software aggiornato di Perseus supporta la visualizzazione e registrazione da 200kHz a 800kHz di larghezza di banda, con reiezione di immagine di 100dB.<br />
La realizzazione di <strong>Nico Palermo</strong> è completata on board con un ottimo front-end analogico con attenuatore da 0 a 30dB, un banco di filtri di preselezione passa banda e di un pre-amp ad alta dinamica, è fornito con un apposito software per Windows (anche Vista) con ottima grafica. Si può dire che Perseus risulta essere un ottimo progetto con ingegnerizzazione già consolidata e con un buon riscontro sul mercato anche internazionale, che risulta in forte espansione.<br />

Le novità non finoscono qui, la competizione tecnologica si arricchisce ora con l&#8217;arrivo del <strong>QS1R</strong> QuickSilver,  un SDR progettato da Phil Covington, N8VB, che<strong> </strong>si basa su approccio molto simile a quello del Perseus, con la conversione ADC in antenna. Qui si usa lo stesso LTC2208, <span style="color: #cc0000;">però</span> a 125MS/s con 16bit, della Linear Technologies, una nuova ed efficiente FPGA HDL Altera Cyclone III EP3C16; La banda di ricezione: BNC LPF imput 15kHz to 55MHz; Dispone di un SMA direct imput 15kHz to 300MHz, con possibilità di integrare espansioni di funzioni; Rilevante è il fatto che, date le specifiche di progetto ADC e FPGA e con il Software (open source GPL3) SDRMAX-II oltre al controllo, filtraggio e demodulazione il QS1R supporta la visualizzazione e registrazione su HD di una larghezza di banda selezionabile da 50kHz<strong> </strong>fino a 50MHz.<br />

Sono prevsite a breve aggiunte<strong>:</strong> un Bandpass and RF Amp-Attenuator board, di un QS1T DUC Trasmitter Add-on board e altre Planned Add.<br />
