The new FTM-350 GPS/APRS Yaesu’s answer to the Kenwood TM-D710. Standard FTM-350 upgrades the FTM-10 to add packet radio and GPS/APRS capabilities and very large LCD with a radical change of style! Recalls the style of competitors Kenwood TM-D710 and Icom IC-2820. Now the functions of the controls are on the edge of the LCD…….

Standard/Yaesu, with the VX-8R writes: ” A Technology Breakthrough”
This new product Yaesu should bring a welcome competition for the radio APRS by Kenwood.

The FTM-350 and FTM-350H, can operate real Dual Ham Band Operation V+V/U+U/V+U, while listening to AM/FM Broadcasts. The new Yaesu rig control head rear panel showing dual speakers. Charging clip for handsfree headset. A very large LCD backlit display, possible 8 front panel colors. Dual Band Scope to check a specified frequency range.

Features (Sorce: Standard jp. spec sheet)

Amateurs will eventually migrate to digital for VHF/UHF repeaters. Will D-STAR be forever? Probably not, but it is the leading solution right now. The move to digital only makes sense, its more spectrum efficient and you can offer a lot more services on a ‘channel’ than you can with analog. I imagine that at some point, not soon, the ratio of digital VHF/UHF operations to analog FM will be similar to the ratio of SSB to AM transmissions on HF!!

D-STAR Hot Spot!

—-new.photo—————————————————————————-
[IT]

[EN]
Baudot RTTY and PSK31 modulator/demodulator (DSP-based encoder/ decoder) is builtin to the IC-7700 and direct keyboard connection capability (port-USB) for RTTY and PSK31 operations without a Personal Computer. Connecting a Personal Compuer and keyboard, RTTY and PSK31 operation can be performed with MixW multimode software installed and “microHAM USB Interface II™” connected from PC and RTX.
Dear Moreno,
Recently a PSK31 CQ transmission of yours was automatically captured by a member of the PropNET project.
PropNET is a system for analyzing and recording HF and VHF circuit quality.
It uses a distributed network of PSK31 stations automatically transmitting and receiving messages and reporting them to a central database, where real-time displays and statistical analyses are generated. We’re interested in real-time propagation detection and long-term analysis of circuit usability, and other interesting uses that the combination of radio and computers can facilitate. You’re obviously interested in digital modes and computers … please………
Link to: PropNET Communication Circuit Quality and Events Reported

PSK31, OLIVIA 250/8, OLIVIA 500/16, OLIVIA, WSRP, MT-63 1KLONG, BPSK31, ALE400, RTTY,

ENG: SWITCH BOX by Elad, is a automatic T/R switch senses transmitted RF (100W max) and switches your
antenna from SDR receive (PERSEUS) to transmit using a relay. It shorts your receiver antenna input to ground to protect your SDR (Official distribution by WoodBoxRadio, IK3VIG, Beppe). Instead of using RF sense to switch the antenna, a control line input lets your key/keyer or PTT line switch the antenna. A complete switch control is available for the audio path of receiver and transceiver. Using CAT of your RTX, with third parts software which provide a SYNC function between RTX and your Peseus SDR, you can make an outstanding and high performance transceiving operations. Protection: The SWITCH BOX provides gas discharge protection on the antenna input.

LP-PAN by N8LP, Teleposting.com made USA, è una  interfaccia  SDR per IF uotput da un Transceiver HF;
With PowerSDRTM and Ham Radio Deluxe point and click frequency tuning is available.

LP-PAN is a direct conversion receiver quadrature detector to provide I Q audio signals to a saund card. It is designed to receive a range of frequencies centered on 8.215 MHz (IF K3) It connects to the IF output bnc, you will need the KXV3 option for the K3, also needs to connect to a PC serial port to provide freqency data to the SDR application (..disply actual tuned freq…)

ENG: Current feature (update): Optimized for K3 Elecraft; Up to 192kHz display on PC, saund card dependent; IF imput at 8.215 MHz center frequency symmetrical display; Switching quadrature detector for 100dB+ dynamic range; Hardware or software mute; Balanced nd unbalanced outputs; Approx -130 dBm noise floor with K3 preamp on; 115dBm dynamic range; Adjustable gain to interface almost any sound card; 8.215 kHz L.O. Work with many SDR programs, PowerSDR, Rocky, SpectraVue, HRD etc.
