The final PA stage from IC-7700 delivers 200W.  Lo stadio finale di potenza realizzato da Icom per il transceiver IC-7700 eroga 200W (at full duty cycle) con un circuito push-pull di due MRF150 Power Field-Effect Transistor, prodotti dalla “tyco/Electronics - M/A-COM” ed alimentati con 48V DC.
Transistor progettati per stadi di uscita linerai di potenza con frequenza fino a 150MHz. Specifiche da M/A-COM Technical Data  a 50 Volts, 30MHz, per ciascun MRF150: Output power = 150 Watts; Power Gain 17 dB (Typ); IMD (d3) (150W PEP) -32 dB (Typ); IMD (d11) -60 dB (Typ); 100% Tested for load Mismatch at all Phase angles with 30:1 VSWR!

The final PA stage delivers 200W (at full duty cycle) with a push-pull circuit using two MRF150 MOSFET RF power devices from tyco/Electronics M/A-COM, fed with 48V DC. The circuit is well-designed. The MRF150 designed primarily for linear large-signal output stages up to 150MHz frequency range.

The IC-7200 is equipped with a rear-panel USB “B” port for CI-V controll and PCM baseband (audio) imput/output. 
Questa nuova e interessante caratteristica penso che sarà applicata  su tutti i futuri Transceiver HF Icom;

The TX Block diagram, riportato sull’immagine (clik for larger image), illustra il percorso del segnale audio dall’USB interface (USB2502) controllata dalla CPU (MC16C/62P) verso la USB Codec (PCM2901E) poi all’ Amp. TS462CPT, quindi al Codec/Mixer di 3rd IF (AK4620BVFP) in cui confluisce in alternativa al segnale MIC tramite l’elaborazione del DSP. 

L’IC-7200 è dotato di una porta USB “B” sul pannello posteriore. Così, la radio può essere collegato direttamente ad un computer portatile o ad altri PC tramite un cavo USB “A-B”.   La porta USB trasporta non solo i dati CI-V, ma anche la banda base PCM per TX e RX tra IC-7200 e il computer. Di conseguenza, il cavo USB è l’unica connessione richiesta tra Radio e PC. Senza l’eterno disordine dei cavi e scatole o interfacce convertitori di livello!
Si deve istallare il driver USB - scaricabile dal sito assistenza globale della Icom Giappone, inoltre è anche necessario installare un altro software di gestione, come l’eccellente HRD - Ham Radio Deluxe. (regolate correttamente i livelli di imput di HRD in base al segnale PCM banda base della porta USB)

ENG: The IC-7200 is equipped with a rear-panel USB B port. Thus, the radio can be directly connected to a laptop or other PC via a standard USB A-B cable. The USB port trasports not only CI_V data, but also TX and RX PCM baseband between the IC-7200 and the computer. As a result, the USB cable is the only radio/PC connection required. Gone forever is the mess of cables, levl converters and interface boxes!
I istalled the Icom USB drivers - downloadable from the Icom Japan world-wide support site and other software come HRD, Ham Radio Deluxe. (set the PCM baseband level correctly at the imput to HRD software).

L’apparato è dotato di O-ring che gira attorno al bordo sotto ai coperchi sia inferiore che superiore. Come si vede il telaio in presso-fusione contiene le varie Unità in scomparti separati e stagni verso l’esterno;
L’IC-7200  è dal 22.07.2008, sul sito ufficiale ICOM Japan in inglese, è messo in  vendita, nel mercato domestico Jp, già dal  mese di Agosto con un prezzo suggerito al pubblico  di 104.790 Yen (inc. local tax )

Lively, la seconda vita di Google in 3D! Lanciato il nuovo mondo virtuale con tanto di avatar dalla casa di Mountan View, totalmente accessibile via browser. Basta scaricare l’applicativo (per ora solo per Windovs) accedere al sito dedicato e si inizia la realizzazione del proprio alter ego virtuale. Creato il proprio avatar, si potrà esplorare gli ambienti e interagire con gli altri con la chat testuale o i movimenti (strette di mano, abbracci ecc.)  Si possono realizzare fantasiosi ambienti e stanze arredate personalizzabili, scegliendo tra le opzioni architettoniche e di design, gli applicativi appagliono puliti ed essenziali e sono gestibili senza particolari abilità informatiche. Quanto verrà creato in 3D (profondità e tridimensione), potrà essere anche esportato sul proprio sito, blog o pagine network perchè, Lively si differenzia proprio per una forte e dirompente integrazione con il web a differenza dei già famosi Second Life o There ed anche per l’utilizzo del normale browser (Explorer o Firefox) senza alncun programma ad hoc. Switch BOX: is a automatic T/R switch senses for RTX and your SDR

Switch BOX della Elad: è una unità di commutazione dei collegamenti d’antenna tra un RTX ed un ricevitore SDR separati. Distribuita da WoodBoxRadio di IK3VIG, Beppe, è dotata di sensore di RF trasmessa (100W max)  che permette l’uso di un Ricevitore SDR come il PERSEUS, unitamente ad un qualsiasi Transceiver HF in modo automatico tramite un relay interno, che mette a massa l’antenna RX durante la trasmissione.  L’unità Switch BOX, consente di gestisce anche i segnali audio provenienti dal ricevitore o dal monitor del trasmettitore, permettendo un rapido ed agevole confronto di ascolto tra i due segnali così ricevuti. Usando la CAT dell’RTX, con una partizione di software sul PC per la funzione di sincronismo trà l’RTX e il Perseus, si ottiene un nuovo e performante transceiver.  Protezione: Switch BOX è dotato di uno scaricatore a gas che si inserisce sull’ imput di antenna.

ENG: SWITCH BOX by Elad, is a automatic T/R switch senses transmitted RF (100W max) and switches your
antenna from SDR receive (PERSEUS)  to transmit using a relay. It shorts your receiver antenna input to ground to protect your SDR (Official distribution by WoodBoxRadio, IK3VIG, Beppe). Instead of using RF sense to switch the antenna, a control line input lets your key/keyer or PTT line switch the antenna. A complete switch control is available for the audio path of receiver and transceiver. Using CAT of your RTX, with third parts software which provide a SYNC function between RTX and your Peseus SDR, you can make an outstanding and high performance transceiving operations. Protection: The SWITCH BOX provides gas discharge protection on the antenna input.

Major points of update from Ver.1.02 to Ver.1.03: ” Improvements in the TX monitor audio“  The old FW (1.02) caused a great deal of background noise in the monitor audio and an AGC  characteristic that was difficult to listen to in the monitor audio.

Note: I would remind  that the update file must be placed in the “7700″ dir on the USB memory stick if the stick has been formatted in FAT32 by the 7700 previously, you can also format it on a PC, but it must be FAT32. To reboot turn off the front switch. NEVER turn off the power from the back without shutting down the radio first (front button). These radios should be run off a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Never cut off power supply while updating firmware! Before starting the download, please read through “Section 16 (UPDATING THE FIRMWARE)” of the IC-7700’s instruction manual. Please save the transceiver data content to an USB memory before starting the firmware update; If you want to update the firmware via LAN, please also download this Firmware update utility: 7700FirmUtl_v100.zip;

Revisione 10; Codice di controllo = 89F6: ultimo firmware; Applicato dal S/No. 001xxxxx approx; Firmware per utenti: TS-2000 Ver.1.07 (inserito il 10 Giugno 2008);  Controlla la versione del software nel tuo TS-2000 o TS-2000X con la seguente procedura:
1) Accendi il transceiver [ON] tenendo pressati i due tasti [MIC] e [NR] per attivare il controllo di conferma;
2) Il codice di controllo del firmware appare sul display nei 7 segmenti del Main (VFO)

IC-R9500 professional wideband receiver

IC-R9500, il ricevitore professionale Icom permette una ricezione superiore entro la vasta gamma da 0.005 a 3335 MHz. L’eccezionale dinamica e le alte caratteristiche sull’intermodulazione vengono mantenute entro tutta la gamma HF con +40dBm di IP3 e 109dB di IMD a 14.100MHz (dati brochure Icom); Nelle VHF (50MHz) l’IP3 risulta +9.8dBm e a 620MHz +6.2dBm e fino a 2GHz a +5 dBm tipico.

ENG: Icom is proud to announce the launch of the IC-R9500, its new flagship receiver. The IC-R9500 covers from 5kHz to 3335MHz; The IC-R9500 has +40dBm IP3 and 109dB dynamic range at 14.1MHz. IP3 performance is +9.8dBm at 50MHz and +6.2dBm at 620MHz (+5dBm (typical) from 30MHz to up 2GHz). Using a dedicated DSP unit improves the dynamic range of the spectrum scope. The IC-R9500 has four different spectrum modes such as normal/wide and centre/fixed width.
